A part-time research assistant in the bio-interface soft materials research laboratory of Dr. Sunghee Lee at Iona University. Incumbents in this position will participate in research activities concerning biophysical properties of biological membranes and other soft-materials chemistry research. This position will also assist the PI in management of an undergraduate research group, for facilitating effective scholarly activities and group dynamics.

Required Skills:

A qualified applicant holds a Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biology or biochemistry and should be familiar with the differential scanning calorimetry, micropipet manipulation technique with inverted microscopy; Raman microspectroscopy; and surface and colloid chemistry techniques. Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills are needed. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
