All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval This recruitment will be used to fill 6 part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Mentor positions for the CAMP Community College Alliance Program at Oregon State University (OSU) and the three partner community colleges at Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC), Columbia Gorge (CGCC), and Linn Benton (LBCC). CAMP Mentors will support CAMP's effort to facilitate a successful college transitional experience for the incoming CAMP cohort. Mentors will be working with CAMP during Orientation as well as the three terms of the academic year with the following structure: Fall - 6 hours/week, Winter & Spring - 3 hours/week. Participating in events or other activities will be time volunteered. As a CAMP Mentor you will help to create a welcoming environment and familiarize CAMP Scholars with college life. A special emphasis will be placed on academic growth. In addition, Mentors will help the new CAMP Scholars navigate college life by providing the students with information about available resources on campus, educating them about the expectations of higher learning, and encouraging participation in all CAMP activities. Fall:

6 hrs/wk,

Meet with your assigned mentees weekly during fall and bi-weekly during winter and spring term Assist in coordinating and participating in all on-and-off-campus events Help students with transitional, personal, and/or academic issues Enforce all University "Student Conduct Regulations" Monitor the safety and welfare of students during CAMP activities Participate in all mentor staff meetings Transferable Skill Development OSU is committed to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees.
