Title Intellectual Property Patent Docketing Specialist Status Full-time; Hybrid (On-site / Remote) Position FLSA - Non-Exempt Description Leason Ellis LLP is a globally recognized intellectual property law firm dedicated to protecting and maximizing our clients' innovations, brands, and creative works. We are seeking a solid mid-level IP Docketing Specialist with 5+ years of both foreign and domestic patent prosecution docketing experience to support our dynamic patent practice. The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability to:
- Effectively utilize patent prosecution docketing software (PATTSY is a plus)
- Assist with and have extensive knowledge of all phases of foreign and domestic patent prosecution
- Prioritize and manage a full workload with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Work both independently and in collaboration with practice group attorneys and paralegals
- Articulate clearly, effectively and professionally in all verbal and written communications with a strong focus on accuracy and proper grammar usage
- Comprehend and follow through with instructions; and ask well thought out questions when clarity is needed Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage incoming foreign and domestic correspondence; process, and docket deadlines.
- Report and discuss with attorneys and paralegals regarding critical foreign and domestic deadlines
- Review foreign docket; follow up with attorneys and paralegals and close out completed actions in the docketing software
- Run daily docket reports and review all upcoming actions
- Create foreign and domestic new clients/matters in docketing software
- Ability to multitask and successfully complete a variety of daily responsibilities
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-service setting Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
- Experience with patent prosecution, and foreign patent databases and websites.
- Strong writing skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize workload.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel

Pay range:

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
