Remote Position Summary:
The Patient Centricity Patient Insights & Solutions (PInS) Fellow will report to a Director (or above) in Patient Centricity PInS team and will be assigned to work with a PInS team member(s) on planning and execution of PInS projects(s)/initiative(s) with Medical and Development, Commercial, Regulatory, Rx+, DigitalX, and other departments.Background & Context:
Fellow will be responsible for execution of projects and interactions with internal and external stakeholders as relevant to the projects. Fellow will use technical, medical, and scientific expertise gained from patient-centric approaches and other pharmaceutical industry training/experience to meet objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Gather patient and caregiver insights using primary and secondary research methods for PInS projects.
- Develop a deep understanding of patients, care partners, and other healthcare stakeholders' perspective to support business needs.
- Collaborate with Astellas Rx+/Digital Health teams to utilize new technologies/wearables to better understand the context in which our patients live in the real-world environment.
- Work closely with Behavioral Science Consortium (BSC) to integrate behavioral aspects of care from a patient and practitioner standpoint.
- Collaborate closely with other Patient Centricity teams to align appropriate patient input for projects being evaluated.
- Support aligning protocols and measured outcomes with patient expectations.
Qualification & Experience:
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes or similar; PharmD.; or other advanced science degree. MBA beneficial.
- Typically 0-1 years previous industry related experience.
- Ability to apply scientific research methods and/or business knowledge to assigned projects.
- Understands compliance concepts as they relate to performing immediate job functions.
- Effective medical writing skills and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to understand healthcare environment and apply this knowledge to perform job function.
- Completed coursework in Research Methods, Epidemiology, Health Policy and/or Health Care Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- PharmD or PhD in health sciences discipline
