The Research Analyst will assist in planning and conducting research projects involving designs, field studies and surveys. For this particular role, the position is needed to conduct data collection and assist with other activities required to meet research objectives for the Medical Monitoring Project as mandated by our funder, CDC. Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred. Duties are listed below. The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 8/31/27, with the good chance of extension.

Locate and recruit sampled HIV-infected persons (in English and/or Spanish) via mail, telephone, email, or face-to-face visit Conduct confidential interviews with HIV-infected persons (in English and Spanish) Conduct office-based and clinic-based medical record abstractions of HIV-infected patients chart Conduct database searches for patient locator information and perform data entry of tracking information Conduct all study activities according to protocol guidelines (including collecting, handling, transporting and storing highly confidential information in compliance with DPH IRB human subjects regulations, and DHSP, State of CA and CDC security and confidentiality requirements forHIV/AIDS

A master's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and one year's post master's research experience -or- A bachelor's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years; and A valid Class C California Drivers License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County.
