Research Development Partnerships Senior Consultant Department:
Health Sciences | Government Resource Center The Research Development Partnerships Senior Consultant for the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) cultivates and executes business opportunities with funding partners, primarily the Ohio Department of Medicaid, to optimize the utilization of GRC services; serves as primary engagement point of contact to anticipate and clarify customer needs, define project scope, and apply GRC services and relationships with health systems and colleges of medicine to achieve customer goals; uses specialized knowledge to develop new processes to establish successful engagement; advises GRC leadership team regarding development opportunities and the cultivation of partner relationships; influences the development and implementation of plans to ensure alignment with the GRC's and partner's strategic goals and cross-functional coordination; develops strong business rapport with partner liaisons to identify improvement opportunities and manage problem resolution; guides internal and external stakeholders to continually improve and strengthen business relationships to meet customer's needs; works towards meeting goals such as growing or retaining partner engagements or attaining high customer satisfaction; provides oversight for existing requests and presents proposals for new solutions and services to clients; provides guidance to faculty and staff in pursuit of new partner engagement opportunities; ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies and sponsor requirements related to GRC's services and health services research.Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.Required Qualifications:
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.Additional Desired Qualifications:
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to work with others to establish comprehensive strategies with appropriate objectives, metrics and execution schedules; strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage individuals and groups; strong communication skills to drive successful interactions, presentations and communications; demonstrates judgment and discretion to make effective decisions and problem solve. Prior experience in healthcare policy and/or program design. Master's degree preferred. Training and/or experience in program evaluation and/or research methodology is preferred.Additional Information:
The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center's mission is to identify, research, and spread innovative practices to improve access to quality healthcare for all Ohioans through partnerships with healthcare, state, and academic leaders. The GRC's current work encompasses critical issues and challenges in public health and health services, including maternal and infant mortality, behavioral health, Ohio's Medicaid members, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, and health system payment innovation.
