Position Details Advertising/Posting Title
STRENGTHENS
Researcher/Analyst Posting Summary Coordinate and implement advanced research, data acquisition, data management and complex data analysis for the UVM Department of PsychiatrySTRENGTHENS
research group. Work closely with Principal Investigators, Project Coordinators, and other research staff in Psychiatry to support the research activities ofSTRENGTHENS.
Perform complex statistical analyses and interpret research data; determine data needs and develop and assess quality assurance methods and standards to ensure data integrity; create and maintain evaluation documentation, files, and records; prepare statistical and administrative reports. Maintain information technology infrastructure so that all data obtained from research studies are de-identified, transferred, backed up, and archived for analysis. Reports to the Principal Investigator. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Master's degree in public health, social sciences, statistics, or a related field and 1-3 years' of project management and evaluation experience required. Experience with quantitative statistical analysis and data visualization software (e.g. R, Python, SQL, SPSS), electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap, Advarra, Qualtrics), and qualitative coding required. Experience with regulatory and compliance procedures (e.g., Institutional Review Board protocol submissions and reporting) and human subjects recruitment and consenting procedures. Effective technical/scientific writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Proficient computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Desirable Qualifications Experience with clinical trials, high-risk clinical populations, and/or suicide-focused treatment/research. Experience working with diverse partners (e.g., university, state, federal) and multi-state teams. Experience administering diagnostic interviews and structured assessments with individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts and elevated levels of emotional distress. Anticipated Pay Range $62,500 - $75,000 Other Information May require occasional Center-related travel.
