This position is for a Drosophila Research Technician to support the NIDA research project at the Institute for Human Genetics.

JOB DUTIES

60% - Perform behavioral phenotypic analysis on Drosophila at different ages under standard culture conditions. 40% - Assist staff scientists, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students as time allows. This will entail maintaining Drosophila stocks, collecting samples for next generation sequencing, and performing phenotypic assays

Expected Salary Range 37200 - 42457 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
