Reporting directly to the Vice President for Research (VPR), the incumbent will contribute to and help advance a research program centered on the development of quantum methods, quantum electronic dynamics methodologies, and cavity chemistry. This effort is intended to be innovative, nationally competitive, and aligned with emerging federal priorities in quantum science and technology. In parallel, the incumbent will serve as an advisor to the Vice President for Research on quantum science and advanced technologies. This role is designed to enhance Texas A&M's national visibility and competitiveness in quantum research and related emerging technology domains. This appointment is intended to help catalyze both scientific advancement and strategic growth. Opportunities to Contribute Advance research in quantum and quantum‑electronic dynamical methodologies, with a focused emphasis on cavity‑modified chemistry and related quantum‑enabled phenomena. Develop and sustain a strong scholarly research program through the preparation of peer‑reviewed publications, conference presentations, and collaborative grant proposals in partnership with research mentor Dr. Angela K. Wilson. Actively participate in external funding efforts, contributing to the development of competitive grant proposals and large‑scale, multi‑institutional research initiatives. Engage in daily collaborative research and mentorship activities, working closely with Ph.D. students, undergraduate researchers, and postdoctoral scholars to support scientific progress and trainee development. Contribute to the strategic growth of quantum and advanced technologies at Texas A&M, including assisting with the development and execution of a university‑wide quantum research strategy. Support cross‑college and interdisciplinary integration of quantum‑related research activities by coordinating center‑level proposals and fostering collaborative partnerships. Provide strategic guidance on research development and infrastructure opportunities, advising on emerging growth areas in quantum science and related advanced technologies. Represent Texas A&M in external engagements, including interactions with federal agencies, industry partners, and research consortia focused on quantum and advanced technologies. Qualifications PhD in a related field. Six years of related experience in quantum and quantum-electronic dynamical methodologies. A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess: Advanced expertise in quantum methods, electronic dynamics, and cavity-modified chemistry Proficiency in developing and executing organization-wide research strategies for emerging technologies Experience identifying and coordinating large-scale multi-institutional grant proposals
Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Due to this position's salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
