Job Description:
The Research Associate plays a key role in advancing the College of Dental Medicine and the University's research mission. This position supports research initiatives through project coordination, data management, statistical analysis, artificial intelligence (AI) and data science applications, scholarly dissemination, and grant-related activities. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, residents, and students, the Research Associate helps drive research productivity, innovation, and evidence‑based healthcare. This role also supports and promotes research activities within the Clinical Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) Center. Essential Functions Research Coordination & Program Support Organize and facilitate research‑related meetings, trainings, conferences, seminars, workshops, and presentations Promote research opportunities and support the research, publication, and journal‑related activities of the Clinical Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) Center Data Management, Analytics & AI Manage research data, including database development, data cleaning, statistical analysis, data visualization, and interpretation of findings Develop, implement, and evaluate artificial intelligence (AI) and data science applications for clinical, educational, and health outcomes research Scholarly & Grant Support Prepare and contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, technical reports, grant proposals, and other scholarly products Research Compliance & Regulatory Support Support research compliance activities, including IRB submissions and renewals, regulatory documentation, and adherence to University, sponsor, and funding agency requirements Collaboration & Academic Engagement Collaborate with faculty, staff, residents, and students on research design, data analysis, and scholarly dissemination Qualifications Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or a related field. Experience working with large healthcare datasets, electronic health records, or clinical databases. Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages. Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, natural language processing, or other AI techniques.
