Person Details Suresh Dakshinamoorthy Industrial Data Historian Administrator (New York, NY, 10075) | 08/28/26 Easy Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Senior Industrial Data Historian Administrator to manage and support a large-scale, mission-critical operational data environment supporting Electric, Gas, and Steam Control Centers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial historian administration, high availability, disaster recovery, system integration, automation, analytics, and 24x7 production support. The environment includes more than 1.5 million operational data tags and requires strong troubleshooting, performance management, and enterprise integration capabilities.
Work Model:
Hybrid - Onsite Tuesday through Thursday; Remote Monday and Friday. Responsibilities Administer and maintain enterprise historian infrastructure supporting 1.5M+ data tags. Support Data Archive, Asset Framework, visualization, interfaces, analytics, notifications, and event frameworks. Implement and support high availability, failover, and disaster recovery solutions. Configure and troubleshoot PI-to-PI, OPC DA/UA, DNP3, RDBMS, APIs, and enterprise integrations. Design dashboards, reports, analytics, and operational visualizations. Develop automation and integrations using PowerShell, C#, .NET, SQL, SSIS, SDKs, and APIs. Monitor system health, performance, data quality, interfaces, and application availability. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Support SCADA, OMS, Control Center, and related operational applications. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans. Follow ITIL processes and use ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management. Participate in scheduled 24x7x365 on-call support. Coordinate with operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, and business teams. Required Skills Strong experience with PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, PI Vision, Interfaces, Analytics, Notifications, and Event Frames. Experience with OPC DA/UA, DNP3, RDBMS, PI-to-PI, and enterprise integrations. Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience. Experience with C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL, SSIS, APIs, SDKs, and Power BI. Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery environments. Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support skills. Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical environments. Strongmunication and technical documentation skills. Preferred Skills Power BI and Power Automate. Azure DevOps and CI/CD. ServiceNow and ITIL. .NET Framework 4.6+ and .NET 8+. Utility, SCADA, Control Center, or critical infrastructure experience.
