This role is critical in ensuring accurate mineral title due diligence for infrastructure development, including energy, utilities, and related assets. The ideal candidate has strong experience in mineral title research, public records analysis, and ownership reporting , with the ability to synthesize complex legal and land data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Conduct mineral and title research using county records, title plants, online databases, and GIS systems Analyze chain of title to determine mineral ownership, lease status, and encumbrances Prepare ownership reports, title summaries, and run sheets for internal and external stakeholders Identify title defects, gaps, and curative requirements , and recommend resolution strategies Support due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, and infrastructure siting projects Collaborate with landmen, legal teams, and project managers to ensure accurate title interpretation Maintain organized records of research findings and supporting documentation Monitor regulatory and legal changes affecting mineral rights and land use Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Land Management, Geology, Legal Studies , or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in mineral title research, abstracting, or land services Strong understanding of oil & gas/mineral rights, leases, and title concepts Proficiency in reviewing deeds, leases, probate records, and legal instruments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Experience with Texas title systems and county records Familiarity with GIS tools, land software (e.g., P2, Enverus, Quorum) Certified Professional Landman (CPL) or working toward certification Experience supporting infrastructure or renewable energy projects
