(Purpose of the Position): RSTARs work alongside Biology faculty to develop and deliver exercises that use R for data analysis, computation and graphing and provide assistance to students doing these exercises. RSTARs provide this assistance both in the classroom/lab when requested and by running evening clinics.Transferable Skills:
Communication Research/Quantitative Technical Human Relations Problem Solving ⚫ Motivation/Leadership ⚫Organization/Planning Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as a team to develop a clinic schedule and take turns hosting the clinics Run evening clinics to assist students with R, computation, and graphing Monitor assistance requests that come from faculty via google form Assist faculty with integrating R into their courses/labsQualifications:
(Education/Experience/Skills) Knowledgeable in R, Excel, and Sheets.REQUIRED
Completion of Bio150 (Evolutionary Foundations of Biodiversity) and Stats 212 (Statistics for the Sciences)PREFERRED
