The successful candidate will focus on integrating genomic selection, predictive modeling, and epigenetic insights to enable the development of resilient, high-yielding cultivars. The position will contribute to advancing next-generation breeding strategies by incorporating epigenetic variation into genomic prediction frameworks and translating these advances into practical tools for breeding programs. A strong emphasis will be placed on developing breeder-oriented solutions, including decision-support pipelines and scalable genomic selection models. In addition, the postdoctoral researcher will work with the supervisor on plant epigenetics research, including the role of epigenomic variation in trait expression and adaptation.

Designing and executing experiments in plant genomics and epigenetics
Developing and applying genomic selection and predictive modeling approaches Integrating multi-omics datasets (e.g., genomic, epigenomic, phenotypic)
Collaborating with breeders and interdisciplinary research teams
Managing greenhouse and/or field experiments and plant materials
Analyzing large-scale sequencing datasets using high-performance computing (HPC)
Presenting research findings at scientific conferences
Preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
