This position plays a critical role in developing and managing programs related to water supply and demand planning, demand management, groundwater management, ecosystem management, power market operations, engineering, financial analysis, and other specialized resource management functions. The Senior Resource Specialist leads complex projects, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, and provides strategic recommendations that support our client's mission of delivering reliable and sustainable water resources throughout Southern California. Minimum QualificationsEducation & Experience Option 1 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; and Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field. Option 2 Advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; and Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field. Desired Knowledge Candidates should possess knowledge of: Water resources planning and management Public policy and governmental regulations Environmental permitting and compliance Groundwater management and hydrology Water transfer and exchange programs Water conservation and demand management Project management principles and practices Budgeting and financial analysis Strategic planning and program development Environmental and resource economics Required Skills & Abilities Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to: Manage complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously. Analyze technical, financial, environmental, and regulatory information. Develop practical solutions to complex resource management issues. Communicate effectively through written reports and presentations. Build partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making. Lead teams and coordinate work across multiple disciplines. Utilize computer applications and analytical tools effectively. Licenses & Certifications Required Valid California Class C Driver License (or equivalent) at the time of application. Preferred Professional licenses and certifications relevant to water resources, engineering, environmental planning, project management, or related disciplines. Physical Requirements Ability to perform standard office-related duties. Occasional field work and site visits. May require travel throughout Southern California, including occasional overnight travel. Use of standard office equipment and computer applications.
Pay:
$76.15 - $84.71 per hour
