I, II, III
performs responsible semi-skilled or skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines and appurtenances for the Water Resources Maintenance and Construction Department. Check out the great benefits the City has to offer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Water Resources Service Worker I Graduation from high school or GED Valid NC driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver's license within sixty days of employment and good driving record Ability to obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement within 12 months of employment Complete confined space and trenching training within 6 months of employment Water Resources Service Worker II Graduation from high school or GED Grade II Collection certification or Grade C Water Distribution certification Valid NC Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement or valid out-of-state Class B CDL with the ability to transfer to NC Class B CDL within sixty days of employment and good driving record Two years of experience in maintenance and construction of water and sewer lines, operating equipment and making service connections Ability to obtain flagger certification from NC Department of Transportation Complete confined space and trenching training within 6 months of employment Water Resources Service Worker III Graduation from high school or GED Grade III Collection Operator's certificate or Grade B Water Distribution certificate Valid NC Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement or valid out-of-state Class B CDL with the ability to transfer to NC Class B CDL within sixty days of employment and good driving record Flagger certification from the NC Department of Transportation Complete confined space and trenching training within 6 months of employment Four years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and/or sewer lines, operating equipment, and making service connections Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
