Job Description

Regulatory Permitting Biologist Walnut Creek, CA 94595 Full-time Full-time Monk & Associates is looking for a senior-level, energetic, career-minded Regulatory Permitting Biologist to join us on a full-time basis in our Walnut Creek office. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, ecology, botany or similar science degree and 6 years or more biological consulting experience. Qualified applicants must have experience in California natural resource agency permitting, environmental impact analysis, botanical or wildlife surveys, impact assessment, mitigation development, and wetland delineation. Candidates must also have experience managing clients, projects, and budgets. Technical writing and excellent communication skills are essential. Travel throughout northern and central California may be required. Key Qualifications Must have working knowledge of Northern California flora and/or fauna, and vegetation communities, or wetland communities. Knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the federal and state Endangered Species Acts, and/or the Clean Water Act. Demonstrated experience writing biological site reports for projects in California. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
