Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Crew Members to join our team. The Zoo Crew is responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall success and enjoyment of Capybara Cafe visitors, ensuring a safe and educational experience for guests, as well as proper care for the animals. Crew members will engage in animal husbandry, educational presentations, food service, and customer service, all while maintaining the highest standards of care and cleanliness. Animal welfare is of our top priority Duties 1.

Animal Husbandry and Care Daily Animal Care :

Provide food, water, and care to all animals in the cafe, with a particular focus on capybaras and any other exotic animals at the facility.

Habitat Maintenance :

Regularly clean, disinfect, and maintain the enclosures of all animals, ensuring their environment is safe, clean, and enriched.

Health Monitoring :

Monitor the physical and behavioral health of animals, reporting any concerns to the Animal Care Manager or Veterinarian as needed.

Enrichment Activities :

Create and implement enrichment activities for the animals to promote mental and physical stimulation.

Record Keeping :

Maintain accurate logs of animal care routines, diet, and behavior changes. 2.

Educational Presentations Animal Encounters :

Lead or assist in interactive animal encounters with guests, ensuring the animals' safety and comfort while educating the public about the species, their habitat, and conservation efforts.

Public Speaking :

Deliver educational talks and presentations to small and large groups, highlighting animal behaviors, care needs, and conservation initiatives.

Guest Engagement :

Engage with guests to answer questions and provide insights about the animals, fostering a learning environment. 3.

Merchandising and Sales Product Knowledge :

Assist in promoting and selling cafe merchandise, including animal-themed products, clothing, and toys.

Inventory Management :

Monitor inventory levels of merchandise, ensuring that stock is maintained and replenished as needed.

Customer Assistance :

Provide excellent customer service by helping guests choose appropriate items, and processing transactions via the register. 4.

Customer Service Answering Calls :

Respond to phone inquiries regarding animal encounters, events, cafe services, and general information about the cafe.

Customer Registration :

Register new customers, input necessary information into the system, and process payments for bookings and experiences.

Assisting Guests :

Help guests with any needs they have, including reservations, special requests, and any issues that may arise during their visit.

Feedback Collection :

Collect customer feedback to improve the overall experience and address any complaints or concerns promptly. Requirements Passion for animals, especially exotic species like capybaras, lemurs, skunks, armadillos. Strong communication skills. Ability to engage with a wide variety of guests in a friendly, informative manner Experience in customer service or food service a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures A team-oriented and positive attitude.
