Job Description

Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is seeking a motivated Offsite Aquarium Biologist to provide exceptional care for aquatic animals while maintaining offsite aquarium exhibits throughout the local area.
What You'll Do:
Provide daily husbandry and health monitoring for fish and invertebrates Maintain aquarium exhibits and life support systems Perform water quality testing, exhibit cleaning, and routine maintenance Travel locally to service offsite aquarium installations Assist with exhibit installations, relocations, and planning Maintain accurate animal care and maintenance records
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Marine Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in a public aquarium, zoo, or similar animal care facility Valid Florida Driver's License (or ability to obtain one within 30 days) Open Water SCUBA Certification (or ability to become an active dive team member within 6 months) Strong knowledge of aquatic animal husbandry, aquarium life support systems, and water quality Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team This full-time exempt position includes weekday hours with rotating weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
