We provide hands-on care for native wildlife and offer educational programs to inspire compassion and stewardship in the community. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Coordinator and Senior Wildlife Rehabilitator, the Wildlife Rehabilitator assists in: Training, supervising, and working alongside Wildlife Care Volunteers and Interns Maintaining accurate patient records Performing medical procedures appropriate to skill level and training Answering the wildlife hotline and coordinating rescues or transports Assisting with diet preparation and maintaining sanitary recovery environments This role requires a self-starter who can manage duties efficiently and independently while supporting the mission and professional standards of WCNC. Qualifications Able to follow instructions and take initiative Strong organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Ability to work respectfully with wild animals, minimizing stress to patients Experience in wildlife rehabilitation or animal rescue preferred Valid driver's license required Must be able to represent WCNC professionally and communicate our mission Additional Information Written performance evaluations provided annually Must provide evidence of identity and eligibility for employment under the Immigration and Reform Act of 1986
