As a Wildlife Check-In Biologist (Biological Science Assistant) in Corvallis, Oregon you will provide technical support for the district's wildlife check-in program by verifying license, tag, and permit information, collecting biological samples, and summarizing and tabulating data necessary for monitoring compliance of take. Accurate and timely data gathering and summarization are critical to providing hunting opportunities and to support wildlife programs. The secondary purpose of this position is to support other District functions (e.g., population monitoring through spotlighting or trail cameras, assisting with wildlife capture, habitat restoration, entering and summarizing survey data) utilizing other funds. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum qualifications are not established for this position; however, we are seeking applicants with the following experience or skills. Preference for interviews may be given to candidates with these skills and background: Experience working in working in the office and field settings Experience recording field data in all types of weather conditions. Experience conducting wildlife surveys. Computer skills. Customer service experience Anyone who has or is in pursuit of a Fisheries or Wildlife Science degree or related degree in biological/ecological sciences
