Join the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Wildlife Technician and help protect and support wildlife across the Commonwealth. This role gives you the chance to work outdoors, learn specialized skills, and make a real difference. As part of a dedicated team, you will assist with hands-on wildlife projects that strengthen conservation efforts. This position supports wildlife research, monitoring, and field operations that help guide conservation decisions across the region. As a Wildlife Technician, you will perform the following duties:Field Capture:
Capture, tag, and monitor birds and mammals using approved scientific methodsSample Collection:
Collect biological specimens and prepare them for diagnostic testingMovement Tracking:
Monitor wildlife movements with technologies such as GPS, satellite, and VHF systemsData Management:
Record and maintain data using required software and follow established protocolsProgram Support:
Assist with regional activities including deer aging, CWD work, and bear check operationsPublic Outreach:

Limited term, full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from an Associate Degree Program in Wildlife Management; or Any combination of experience or training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.Other Requirements:
