Wildlife Educator & Event Presenter (Part-Time)Join Our Team Do you enjoy working with animals, engaging with children, and performing in front of groups? Uncle Tony's Reptile Show is looking for energetic individuals to help deliver memorable live animal experiences throughout the Philadelphia region. This position combines education, entertainment, animal care, and public speaking. Every event is different, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and interacting with people. About Us Uncle Tony's Reptile Show brings live reptiles and exotic animals to schools, camps, libraries, birthday parties, fairs, and community events. Our mission is to inspire curiosity about wildlife through hands-on educational experiences. What You'll Do Lead live educational animal programs for audiences of all ages Introduce guests to reptiles and other exotic animals in a fun, engaging manner Teach animal facts and conservation concepts using interactive demonstrations Ensure safe animal handling practices during events Assist with transporting animals and presentation materials Create positive experiences for children, parents, teachers, and event organizers Represent Uncle Tony's Reptile Show professionally at all times Who We're Looking For Successful candidates are: Comfortable speaking in front of groups Friendly, outgoing, and dependable Interested in reptiles, wildlife, or environmental education Able to adapt to different audiences and event settings Reliable and punctual Comfortable working weekends and occasional weekdays Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license Reliable vehicle for travel to events Able to lift and transport show equipment Reside within driving distance of the Philadelphia metropolitan area Helpful Experience (Not Required) Teaching or tutoring Summer camp counseling Theater, acting, improv, or performance experience Animal handling or pet care Children's entertainment Public speaking or presentation experience Training is available for candidates with strong presentation skills who are new to reptiles.
Compensation Starting pay:
$50 per presentation Travel compensation for mileage, tolls, and drive time Bonus opportunities based on performance Flexible scheduling Increased event availability during summer months Schedule Part-time, event-based position.
