Full-Time | 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM | Year-Round About SPN Successful Practices Network (SPN) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for all students.
- Deliver high-quality science instruction (e.g., biology, chemistry, or integrated science) aligned to Texas state standards
- Utilize inquiry-based, hands-on, and experiential learning strategies
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and language needs
- Integrate English language development into science instruction
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement; maintain accurate grade records
- Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Ensure safe handling of materials, equipment, and lab procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
- Utilize technology and student information systems (SIS) for instruction and reporting Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification (Science, Grades 6-12 preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- ESL Certified or in process of obtaining certification
- Ability to pass federal background check requirements Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in science, education, or related field
- Experience working with English language learners
- Experience with lab-based and project-based instruction
- Familiarity with technology-driven or blended learning environments Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse learners
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and classroom management
- Experience with student information systems (SIS)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and manage classroom/lab materials
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout instructional periods Compensation & Benefits Salary $79,000
