Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Science or Chemistry (appropriate state certification required) Previous experience teaching high school Chemistry preferred Strong foundation in General Education Science concepts and best teaching practices Exceptional communication, classroom management, and organizational skills Ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment Comfortable integrating technology and innovative approaches into lessons
Responsibilities:
Lead engaging lessons for high school General Education Chemistry classes, covering essential curriculum as assigned Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learners' needs Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance Design coursework and lab activities that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific discovery Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and school leadership for student success Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required This is a contract role encompassing 35 hours per week, offering a rewarding opportunity to enrich the classroom experience and support academic achievement.
