Job Description Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Scientist to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The successful candidate will have a Master's or PhD, with experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining.

Responsibilities:
Execute high-quality tissue processing and embedding using both paraffin and frozen section techniques to ensure consistency. Perform specialized staining methods, including histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), to support research and imaging goals. Troubleshoot and refine laboratory protocols to ensure reproducible, high-quality results while maintaining strict compliance and detailed documentation. Partner with researchers to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret findings.
Required Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field is expected, though a Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience will be considered.. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining within a research or clinical laboratory setting. Proficient in histological techniques (paraffin and cryosectioning) and specialized staining methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF). Prior experience with skin or ocular tissues, HPLC, and 3D printing is highly preferred, alongside the ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols. Strong attention to detail for data analysis, coupled with excellent time-management, multitasking, and laboratory safety/compliance standard maintenance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to document procedures and work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
