Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support routine computational analysis of functional genomics and transcriptomics datasets in a highly operational environment. Our team values accuracy, organization, and the ability to execute established workflows to ensure data integrity and timely project completion.
Responsibilities:
Support computational analysis of functional genomics and transcriptomics datasets using established pipelines and reporting systems. Assist with experimental registration, sample tracking, and data management for NGS-based workflows to ensure data retention and accessibility. Manage workflow and data entry in Benchling OEMS for pooled gene perturbation, amplicon-seq, bulk RNA-seq, and related NGS experiments. Maintain organized records of analyses and support troubleshooting and routine issue resolution in partnership with team members.
Required:
Master's degree or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related discipline; or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience; or Master's degree with 2 years of experience; or Doctorate degree. Ability to run established computational workflows and pipelines, including processing raw FASTQ files and generating reporting outputs. Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments and basic programming or scripting experience in Python, R, or shell scripting. Strong organizational skills and proven diligence in metadata entry, data management, and independent execution of routine analysis tasks.
