Pay Range:
$38-$42/hr. on W2 all inclusive Job Summary The Scientist II is responsible for executing advanced tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques to generate high-quality samples for research and analysis. This role requires expertise in histological methods, troubleshooting protocols, and collaborating with researchers to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret findings. The Scientist II ensures accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance with laboratory standards. Key Responsibilities Execute tissue processing to prepare consistent, high-quality samples for analysis Perform tissue embedding using paraffin and frozen section techniques Conduct tissue staining, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and histological staining Troubleshoot and optimize protocols to ensure reproducible results Collaborate with researchers on experiment design, data analysis, and interpretation Maintain detailed records of procedures, results, and inventory in compliance with laboratory standa rds Required Qualifications & Skills Experience 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining in a research or clinical laboratory Technical Skills Pr oficiency in histological techniques, including paraffin and cryosectioning Expertise in IHC, IF, and histological staining methods Ability to troubleshoot and optimize tissue preparation protocols Analytical & Organizational Skills Strong attention to detail with ability to analyze and interpret experimental data Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects efficiently Communication & Teamwork Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and documentation Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Education Master's degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience may be considered
