Screw Machinist

FlexTrades is hiring Screw Machinists for project-based assignments supporting high-precision CNC Swiss machining operations. This role is built for machinists who can manage complex setups, hold demanding tolerances, and work confidently with difficult materials in quality-driven environments. If you understand Citizen Swiss machines, know how to work through GD&T-heavy prints, and can maintain consistency on precision parts without constant supervision, this is your lane. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Citizen Swiss machines Make offsets and machine adjustments on proven programs Machine components from Inconel, Hastelloy, and other high-nickel alloys Inspect parts using micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment when required Read and follow blueprints, ballooned drawings, and GD&T requirements Complete quality inspections and production documentation accurately Perform basic machine maintenance including oil and coolant checks Manually load and unload parts during production runs Qualifications Proven experience operating Citizen Swiss CNC machines Strong understanding of G & M code Demonstrated experience with tight-tolerance machining Advanced GD&T knowledge required Ability to perform complex machine setups independently Experience inspecting precision components using handheld measurement tools Familiarity with CMM operation preferred Comfortable working with electronic setup sheets, drawings, tool lists, BOMs, and routers Ability to read and interpret inch-based blueprints and ballooned drawings About FlexTrades FlexTrades is a manufacturing workforce solutions company that deploys skilled tradespeople and technical specialists to worksites across the United States.
