Seasonal Armed Security Officer

Job Overview Seasonal Summer armed security officers needed. June 14th through August 15th 2026. Position is a gatehouse entry/exit and CCTV monitoring post. We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a professional with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various security situations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in law enforcement or military service and be capable of handling high-pressure scenarios with confidence. This position is seasonal, and a great opportunity to earn extra money over the summer, especially for school resource officers while school isn't in session etc. Site is in the Poyntelle/Lakewood area of Wayne County Pennsylvania. Duties Monitor entry gate and designated areas using visual, CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity. Conduct regular security checks of entrances, and exits to prevent unauthorized access. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, applying conflict management skills as needed. Maintain detailed incident reports and logs for all security-related activities. Assist with crowd control during events or high-traffic periods, ensuring safety for all attendees. Conduct surveillance operations using CCTV and other monitoring tools to identify potential threats or breaches. Qualifications Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and professionally. Must possess a valid security license as per state regulations Act 235 Armed license.
