Job Description

Job description Position Summary This position provides professional, accurate, and timely customer service while supporting daily branch operations. The Seasonal Banking Assistant - Teller performs routine teller transactions, responds to customer inquiries, and assists with general operational and clerical duties as assigned. This role may provide additional departmental support during peak periods or seasonal needs. The position requires frequent interaction with customers, adherence to bank policies and procedures, and strict confidentiality of sensitive customer and proprietary information. Work hours may vary based on business needs and location. The level of this position is based on years of service, education and/or equivalent experience, knowledge level, and skill set. Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential Function and Skill satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Process routine customer account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and verification and disbursement of cash in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. Balance teller drawer and maintain proper cash controls; buy and sell currency as needed. Process daily bank deposits, including night drop, mail, and coin transactions; operate coin machine and wrap coin. Answer phones, screen and route calls, take accurate messages, and respond to routine customer inquiries. Assist customers with services such as cashier's checks, gift cards, stop payments, safe deposit box access, check orders, and account research requests. Complete required documentation, including CTRs, and adhere to all BSA/AML requirements. Maintain working knowledge of Bank products and services and refer customers to appropriate staff as needed. Support branch and departmental operations through clerical and administrative duties, including filing, imaging, mail processing, document preparation, and special projects as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information at all times. Maintain physical presence in the branch and assist coworkers as needed to support daily operations. All employees are expected to exemplify and follow our core values. Regular attendance and punctuality when reporting to work. Travel for trade and industry schools and seminars as needed. This position may require installation of a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) app on an employee's personal mobile device. THE MFA apps are used to authenticate a user's identity to the system for security purposes. Adhere to and comply with all applicable, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, as well as adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures. Required Continuing Education to maintain job knowledge. Preferred - One To Three Years Of Banking/teller Experience. Preferred Administrative experience and/or customer service experience.
