Seasonal Boat Rental Operator

We're hiring reliable, experienced boat operators to run rental operations on Lake Keowee. In this lively role, you will oversee daily rental activities, ensure smooth operations, and help create memorable water adventures for our guests. This is not a casual summer gig. This opportunity is for someone who takes ownership, shows up consistently, and takes pride in delivering a high-quality guest experience. What You'll Do Manage the rental process from check-in to check-out Haul boats to/from docks and landings Safely operate, dock, and trailer boats Walk guests through safety + rental procedures Complete checklists for cleanliness, safety, and damage documentation Communicate clearly with owner and guests throughout each booking Be responsible for watercraft cleaning, maintenance & service calls Compensation Consistent weekly base pay, plus: Tow Compensation End of season bonus Extra pay for holiday work Tips The weekly base pay depends on whether you're applying as a couple or an individual and works out to be ~ $25-30/hr+ per person. This is a seasonal contract position for 17 weeks (May 15-September 11). Some off-season work available. Requirements Proven experience operating & trailering boats Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Strong communication skills Available most weekends & holidays (May-Sept) Lives within 20 minutes of Lake Keowee Must be 25+ with a valid driver's license Own truck with towing capacity & willing to use it for trailering rental boats Ideal Candidate Has basic boat mechanical & maintenance knowledge Takes ownership without being micromanaged Handles problems calmly and professionally Treats this as a responsibility—not a side hustle Previous experience in operational roles within a recreational setting is a plus This position is the heart of our business, so integrity, excellent communication and positive attitude are a must.
