Job Description

Education & Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in groundskeeping, facilities, maintenance, landscaping, or similar work preferred. Previous leadership or management experience preferred. Candidate must display strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to learn how to safely operate equipment including a skid steer and other park maintenance equipment. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to operate company vehicles or golf carts. Must be able to work independently as well as supervise and direct team members in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold temperatures. Position is seasonal from approximately March through October. Typical schedule is 30-35 hours per week, generally working 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Schedule may require 5-6 days per week including some weekends based on operational needs. Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds utilizing proper lifting techniques or a two-person lift when necessary.
Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the morning setup, cleanliness, appearance, and general operation of park grounds and facilities. Responsibilities include supervising and directing team members, coordinating daily work assignments and schedules, assisting with park opening preparations, monitoring safety and cleanliness throughout the property, and assisting with grounds and facility maintenance tasks as needed. Starting rate of pay for this position is $17.00 an hour.
Essential Functions:
  • Supervise, direct, and support Grounds & Facilities Team Members in daily operational duties.
  • Assist with scheduling, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
  • Oversee morning setup and preparation of park grounds and facilities prior to opening.
  • Monitor overall cleanliness, presentation, and appearance of park grounds, landscaping, and guest areas.
  • Assist with general maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep projects throughout the park.
  • Operate or assist with operation of equipment such as blowers, mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, golf carts, and skid steers following proper safety procedures.
  • Assist with trash removal, debris cleanup, landscaping maintenance, and event setup.
  • Monitor park grounds and midways for safety hazards including slip, trip, and fall concerns.
  • Ensure team members are following safety procedures and utilizing proper protective equipment.
  • Communicate operational concerns, maintenance issues, and safety concerns to management.
  • Assist with preparation and setup for park events, catering events, team member functions, and operational needs.
  • Work alongside team members to complete tasks efficiently and maintain departmental standards.
  • Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, and cold.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and protect employee, customer, and company confidentiality.
  • Report to and from work at assigned times.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
