About the Farm Philo Ridge Farm is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) working demonstration farm located in Vermont's Champlain Valley. Using innovative and ecologically sustainable practices, we steward over 500 acres of pastureland, forests, and diversified produce gardens. We rotationally graze heritage breed livestock and cultivate certified organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Our dining program is led by Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage Marc St. Jacques, whose thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach brings the flavors of the farm to life. With a deep respect for Vermont's agricultural community and a passion for seasonal cooking, Marc crafts menus that highlight the organic produce and pasture-raised meats grown right here on the farm. Each dish reflects our commitment to organic regenerative agriculture— celebrating the connection between the land, the farmer, and the plate. 2026 Seasonal Sous Chef Opportunity We're hiring for summer 2026 and offering seasonal chefs an opportunity to cook, live, and work on a beautiful farm in Vermont. Everything grown and raised on our farm is served in our dining room and market. You'll have the chance to butcher, bake bread, harvest directly from the fields, and cook in both our dining room and our outdoor wood-fired oven. We're seeking sous chefs, line cooks, and other driven kitchen professionals ready to get away from the grind for the summer and work in a setting where the produce and meats are raised just steps from the kitchen.
