Rush, NY Job Details Full-time $18 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Paid sick time Qualifications High school diploma or GED Decision making Hand tools Full Job Description Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for the blasting, washing, assembly, packaging, and handling of manufactured products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Load and unload parts into the blast and/or wash equipment. Read and interpret drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. Perform work in accordance with the work order / job router. Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on the equipment. As time permits, perform random physical inventories (focusing on heavy usage materials). Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Ability and willingness to work scheduled hours based on our customer and supplier needs. Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Complete quality checks as required prior to final packaging. Properly complete material identification tags per written instructions. Identify, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming pieces. Wear all required PPE (personal protective equipment). Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, ISO Quality and Lean initiatives and requirements. Participate in corrective and preventive action processes. Initiate, recommend and provide process improvement solutions through designated channels. Perform other duties to support the operations as assigned by your supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma Physically able to stand, bend, climb, reach, and lift 40 lbs. Familiar with hand tooling (e.g. screwdriver, hammer, etc.) and machines (e.g. hand blast cabinet) Hand-eye coordination Good communication skills (verbal and written) Judgment and decision making Additional experience: Manufacturing Experience Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc, Forklift operator experience Of Benefits 401(k) with a company match of up to 6% Medical Insurance (great coverage, low cost for employees), Vision, Dental Short-term Disability company paid Long-term Disability is available.
