The Role & Your Impact We are seeking a full‑time Unarmed Security Officer for a commercial property in West Palm Beach. This role serves as a key overnight operational position and includes leadership responsibility over a four‑officer team. You will function as an on‑site operational lead during overnight hours, maintaining professional presence, overseeing shift activity, and supporting coverage needs in the event of call‑outs. This role is critical to maintaining continuity, consistency, and accountability across the security operation. This position is ideal for someone who understands that effective security operations require reliability, clear communication, and the ability to step in when the team needs support. Core Responsibilities Commercial Security Operations Conduct consistent interior and exterior patrols of the commercial property Maintain access control and monitor site activity during overnight hours Serve as a visible and professional security presence Identify, document, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations Respond to incidents using sound judgment and established procedures Team Oversight and Coverage Support Oversee and coordinate nightly operations for a four‑officer team Serve as a point of contact for on‑duty officers during overnight shifts Assist with coverage when call‑outs occur, including on‑call support as required Communicate operational updates and issues to site leadership Reporting and Documentation Complete accurate, timely daily activity logs and incident reports Maintain clear written communication aligned with company standards Support accountability through proper documentation and follow‑up Team Contribution and Professional Standards Model professionalism, reliability, and leadership by example Support a culture of accountability, clear communication, and consistency Collaborate with management to strengthen site operations Qualifications & Professional Requirements Required Valid Florida Class D Security License Minimum 2 years of licensed security experience Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or multi‑officer security environments Demonstrated reliability, leadership presence, and sound judgment Strong written communication and report‑writing skills Ability to remain alert and engaged throughout overnight shifts Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Reliable transportation Availability to work the assigned overnight schedule Willingness to assist with coverage as needed Successful completion of pre‑employment and random drug screening Successful completion of criminal and role‑relevant background screening 18 years of age or older U.S. Citizen or authorized to work with valid documentation Preferred Prior experience supervising or leading security officers on shift CPR/AED certification or prior emergency response training Interest in advancement into supervisory or site leadership roles Compensation & Benefits SIG 9 Global is committed to providing a compensation and benefits structure that reflects our investment in people, operational excellence, and long‑term professional growth.
