Security Alarm Technician

Position Summary:

ProNet Security Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Alarm Technician to install, service, and maintain electronic security systems, including intrusion alarms, CCTV (video surveillance), access control, and fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced with commercial and/or residential security technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, program, test, and troubleshoot: Intrusion detection systems Access control systems (badging, door strikes, keypads, etc.) Video surveillance systems (IP and analog) Fire alarm and life safety systems Perform service calls and preventive maintenance on existing systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes (e.g., NFPA, NEC, UL standards). Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and system configurations. Coordinate with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians to ensure smooth project delivery. Stay current with new technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and technical skills. Must pass background check and drug screening. Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus): NICET (Fire Alarm Systems) Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) Texas Security License
