POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Lead Supervisor is responsible for all security officers' supervision, providing security, compliance with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal laws, rules, regulations, processes, procedures, and a safe environment in the absence of the Security Manager and the Security Director . Responsible for training the security staff, ensuring the protection of guests, team members, and company assets. This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guests' records and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required , and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc., is expected . Regular attendance is required and includes overnight hours, holidays, and weekends. Maintaining a neat, well-groomed professional appearance is always essential .
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIB I LITY
: This position supervises all security team members on a designated shift. Shifts are subject to change and may be extended to ensure proper coverage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the Security Lead Supervisor include but not limited to: Will assume primary security leadership responsibility in the absence of Security Manager and /or Security Director . Must develop a complete working knowledge of all departmental polic ies , company polic ies/protocols , Minimum Internal Control Standards ( MICS ) , Washington state Compact Responsibilities, Gaming Regulations, and Title 31 /Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) requirements. Working knowledge of casino rules, venues, activities, and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquirers. Maintain a healthy working relationship with TGA. Performs outstanding guest service by interacting and assisting guests and team members . Complete shift briefing report summarizing the events ; pass along pertinent information to oncoming shift and dept. leadership in a timely fashion. Conduct safety walks in and outside of the casino, reporting, documenting, and mitigating any safety-related issues. Recognize and report on any Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ) related violations. Respond to all requests from other departments and entities on the property who report security or safety issues. This includes Hotel and RV Park. Manage s , report s , and act s on routine, non-routine, and emergency situations, including fires, leaks, hazardous spills, power outage, equipment failure, and evacuations . Provides first aid/ Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR ) until advanced care arrives . Perform all security tasks and positions, which set the example for security officers to follow . Communicate and implement department al procedure s in accordance with director and internal controls . Ensures that Security staff actively patrol within their assigned areas and are in place at static positions, performing their duties as per department standards, policies, and procedures ; ensures Security staff are compliant with all health and safety policies, regulations and protocols. Monitor team member performance and conduct s individual training, counseling, or corrective action as necessary. Reviews and approves reports submitted by security officers for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and co ntent. Must be able to perform closing procedures and coordinate opening procedures, assuring proper notifications. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIO NAL REQUIREMENTS
: A high school diploma or GED. A college degree in a related field is preferred.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a minimum of six (6) years progressive experience in law enforcement, security, or equivalent education in a related field. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered . Prior experience in Casino and Hotel /Resort environments is preferred. The ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. The flexibility to make quick decisions as situations change and develop. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required . Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Electronic Key Tracking Systems. Work requires continual attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Able to learn and follow detailed Security policies and procedures. Possess exceptional report writing skills, plus the ability to obtain, participate , qualify, and certify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, handcuffing, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, etc. within 90 days of hire . Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License, successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. Possess a valid WA state Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days) and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider .
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by a team member to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions . Must be able to climb and descend stairs safely continuously. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds . This position's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus. Must have the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and nontraditional hours. Overtime required on occasion.
ENVIRONMENT
The environment characteristics described here represent those a team member may encounter while performing essential functions. Position, in support of LEC&H s Pride in Property values, assists with the daily cleaning of public and team member spaces, ensuring they are properly cleaning (to property standards) and sanitized; examples of daily clearing protocols include but are not limited to the cleaning of work areas, machines, equipment, using cleaning and sanitizing agents and report of any and all cleanliness issues. This position works primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy cigarette smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel . May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music, and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment. Will routinely be exposed to outdoor elements , flashing and strobe-type lighting.
