POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for overall supervision of the security department on designated shift . The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal Law, rules, regulations, processes, procedures . May assist with training and will ensure the protection of company assets and the safety of our guests , and team members. This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIB I LITY
: This position supervises all security team members on designated shift .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of th e Security Supervisor include but not limited to: Assumes primary security officer responsibility for designated shift in absence of Security Manager. Supervises other security officers on shift in handling problems, incidents, temporary and permanent bars, etc. Works with the S ecurity M anager , S ecurity L ead S upervisor and/or T able G ames S hift M anager. Oversees procedures for protecting company assets. Promotes positive customer and team member relations. Maintains security reports, documents and equipment . Includes reviewing security incident reports and correcting reports. Provides input to manager for evaluations, disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Is accountable for responsible money handling procedures. Acts as a Casino greeter , checks customer I.D. s, and maintains daily visitor logs. Is helpful, courteous, and friendly. Is current on facility disaster plans and responds appropriately. Provides ongoing recognition and motivation for staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIO NAL REQUIREMENTS
: An Associate s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field required and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires one (1) year of law enforcement or security background and supervisory experience required . A minimum of six (6) months of current of supervisory experience, preferred . Prior experience in a security position or casino environment is preferred. Excellent communication and guest relation skills are essential. Able to learn and follow detailed Security polici es and procedures. Possess exceptional report writing skills , plus Defensive Tactics Training with advanced handcuffing certification, preferred . Participate and qualify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, defensive tactics, handcuffing, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, etc. New hires must obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR/AED (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) certification within 60 days of hire . Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider .
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position . While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle ; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions . Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds . Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus .
ENVIRONMENT
The environment characteristics describe here are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of the position. Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy cigarette smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel . May also, from time-to- time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment. Will occasionally be exposed to outdoor elements.
