Security Officer

Overnight security at a summer camp needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As security you will be expected to do the following things to ensure the safety and security of campgrounds, including, but not limited to: Traversing of full property in rounds, and in random patterns, both on foot and on a golf cart Going into and out of buildings Reporting routine observations while on rounds in a log format Maintaining situational awareness of camp activities, rules, and regulations (knowing which staff are on duty) Communicating to staff on duty any issues with campers or staff breaking rules (outside of bunk past curfew), including using radio equipment contact leadership staff on duty, completing accident/incident reports Maintaining professionalism at all times including appearance, behavior, and communications. Remaining alert at all times.

SKILLS:

• Relevant training in security procedure
• Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle challenging situations
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Qualifications:

• Refer to link below for minimum state requirements.
• Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

• Must live in Maine and have reliable transportation.
