Where You Will Work Tyrone is an open-pit copper mining complex located in Grant County, New Mexico - just 10 miles south of the historic mining community of Silver City. The copper processing facilities currently consist of a solvent extraction/electrowinning operation with an annual maximum capacity of approximately 100 million pounds of copper. • Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.
• Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate
• Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival
• Direct visitors and vendors to destination
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Perform frequent patrols of the property
• Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property
• Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities
• Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews
• Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted
• Assist with and trained for emergency situations
• Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime
• Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location
• Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed
• Perform other duties as required ## What You Bring To Freeport
• Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location
• Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations
• Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing ## Preferred Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED What We Offer You The estimated pay range for this role is currently $16.

50 - $22.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
