PM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to people at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable laws. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with supervisors, local officials, and/or first responders regarding incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate. X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
