Security Officer

Security Officer (Unarmed) Position Overview Benitez Security Services, Inc. is seeking reliable, professional, and experienced Unarmed Security Officers to support client sites, events, and on-call temporary assignments. Officers are expected to maintain a professional appearance, exercise sound judgment, and provide a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and the public. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a visible and professional security presence at client sites, events, and other assignments Conduct foot patrols and assigned post duties Monitor crowds and identify potential safety or security risks Enforce site rules, policies, and client directives De-escalate confrontations using verbal techniques and presence Remove disruptive or unauthorized individuals when lawful and directed Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies Provide assistance to the public, staff, and vendors Complete detailed incident and activity reports Duties are evolving and will change based on the company's and client's needs. Willing to learn and actively participate in advancement Minimum Qualifications 1-3 years of prior security experience Current California BSIS Guard Card (Required) Current Baton Permit (Required) Taser Certification (Required) Current OC / Chemical Agent Certification (Required) Valid California Driver's License Reliable transportation High school diploma or GED English / Spanish bilingual preferred Equipment Requirements Duty belt Baton Taser Weapon OC / Pepper Spray Approved uniform components All equipment must meet BSIS and company standards Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to run and respond quickly to incidents Ability to bend, twist, reach, and climb stairs Ability to lift u to 40 pounds Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work in crowded and high-noise environments Work Schedule & Conditions This is a full time / part-time position. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Assignments vary based on company needs. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Benefits are pending management review.
