Day Time Sat 07:00 AM - 05:00

PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public personnel regarding security-related matters. Support order at the location by following post instructions, assisting with directional inquiries, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. A state, county, or city issued license for security-related work is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
