Security Officer (nights only)

The Mohicans Treehouse Resort seeks a part-time unarmed security officer for the upcoming wedding season . The selected individual will be responsible for delivering top-tier physical security services during wedding events at our resort. This role requires excellent customer service and communication skills and entails serving as a prominent deterrent to criminal activity and violations of client regulations. The security officer will also be tasked with identifying and promptly reporting any suspicious, unsafe, or criminal activities in the vicinity of the resort that could jeopardize the safety of the property, guests, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is a prerequisite for this position.
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• The ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and work in outdoor settings is essential.
• Prospective candidates may be subject to undergo a thorough background investigation as authorized by federal, state, and local laws.
• Prospective candidates may be subject to a drug screening, as permissible by law.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by implementing safety and security protocols, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when necessary.
• Handle incidents and critical scenarios with composure and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and its periphery to ensure compliance with quiet hours and to deter disorderly conduct.
• Professionally interact with individuals at all levels courteously and de-escalate situations before they turn hostile or unsafe.
• Ability to work independently.

This is a part-time seasonal position consisting of shifts from 11 pm to 3 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays with occasional midweek shifts.

Compensation:

$20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
