AM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, visitor check-in activities, and/or emergency response support when appropriate. Monitor access to the location by greeting students, staff, faculty, and visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing individuals according to site requirements. Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document activity through logs, reports, and/or communication systems. Support a professional front desk presence by answering questions, observing lobby and entry activity, reporting unusual behavior or maintenance concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
