JOB DESCRIPTION RESIDENTIAL SUPERINTENDENT LG
a smaller family owned General Contractor local to Dallas / Fort Worth is searching for qualified candidate for the position of Project Superintendent in the Select Residential Division of our company. LG Contracting specializes in the following services, for our clients.
Pre-Construction Services:
Our team works with clients, architects, designers and space planners to provide accurate and comprehensive budgets and preliminary construction schedules to ensure that the feasibility of future projects in the conceptual design stages.
General Construction:
LG Contracting provides turnkey construction services from start to finish, no matter the size of the project. We offer the same hands-on services from pre-construction to project completion. Our_ Select Residential Projects _are project managed and supervised the same as any of our commercial projects from prime contract buy-out to issuance of sub-contracts. Each of our contract partners (subcontractors) work under subcontract agreements which is something you don't see often.
Construction Management:
From site survey through project completion, LG Contracting works directly with the Client, and all design disciplines, to expertly manage the entire process through effective planning and communication, making sure your projects are on time and on budget. We take great pride in our work. LG Contracting has 30 + years of experience covering a wide variety of projects including the construction of retail offices, manufacturing, medical, ground-up projects both commercial and select residential, and tenant improvements mainly in the Healthcare Sector. The Project Superintendent selected will become a part of our team as an essential team player, in building the highest quality of Construction in Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas. An aptitude towards the Superintendent's duties and a willingness to work hard to produce quality work will ensure the Superintendent becomes a critical factor in our organization. This includes coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections. This person is responsible for ensuring that specifications strictly follow our high-quality standards and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Major Responsibilities of the
Superintendent:
Job Site Supervision & Quality Control. Walking all job sites regularly and maintain a daily log of activities . Monitor job site to maintain good general health and safety of all our contract partners and ensure that the job site is always kept clean and organized. Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work. Identify deficient work and ensure the subcontractor corrects any deficiencies as they go. Always communicating and helping to resolve RFI's, Change Orders, problems, areas of concern, miscommunications, suggestions for solutions, etc. Assist with customer walk-throughs along with punch-out and warranty. Maintain a good relationship and communication with your supervisor, team members, subcontractors, vendors, and customers. #2: Coordinating & scheduling subcontractors, materials, and equipment, as well as other tasks to ensure timely completion Verify and confirm material lead times and purchase orders as needed to maintain an accurate and efficient schedule. Verify that all required materials, fixtures, etc., are on the job when needed, including any items supplied by the Homeowner. Assist with updating the Submittal Schedule for the project to insure materials timelines for the project. Schedule required inspections (City, County, Engineering, and 3rd Party) if required per the project specifications. Identify and coordinate areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope and notify our office on these proposed changes in scope. Identify conflicts in construction progress and provide resolutions. Perform job progress and completion reports as well as update the project schedule weekly. Assist in and support the Project Manager in obtaining approval of revisions of scope and proposed change order request.

Experience:
Minimum of eight years residential construction management experience, thorough knowledge of trades, and be computer literate. Experience in select residential construction is preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) is preferred. Experience in Construction Management Software (i.e., Corecon is a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers, subcontractors, or employees of the organization.
Pay & Benefits:
Salary:
$75,000
  • $95,000 per Year +
Bonus Comprehensive Benefits Package Schedule:
Ranges from 8 to 10 hour days Monday to Friday. Saturday on occasion
