Senior Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description The Greer Group has a great direct hire opportunity for a Senior Accountant / Junior Controller. We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple business units while supporting high-level financial visibility for leadership. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond transactional accounting and step into a path toward a Controller position. Why This Role Stands Out Clear path to Controller-level responsibility as the company grows High visibility with direct interaction with senior leadership Established systems and reporting frameworks already in place-no need to build from scratch Opportunity to improve processes and make a measurable impact What You'll Own Full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll Financial accuracy and consistency across multiple business units Monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations Preparation of financial reports using established templates Support for budgeting and forecasting processes Monitoring expenses and ensuring compliance with internal controls Coordination with external accountants for tax filings and audits Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy What Success Looks Like Clean, accurate financials delivered consistently and on time Strong visibility into performance across all entities Efficient, well-documented accounting processes Leadership confidence in financial reporting and data integrity What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4-8+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting Experience working in multi-entity environments preferred Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred Background CPA or CPA-track (a plus, not required) Experience in service-based or industrial environments Exposure to payroll and multi-entity reporting The Bottom Line This is a high-impact role for someone who wants more than just a traditional accounting position. Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000 + performance-based bonus
