$85,000–$98,000 About the Opportunity Our client is a stable, well-established organization with a long history of success across the Midwest. They are seeking a Senior Accountant who enjoys hands-on general ledger accounting and wants to own key areas of the GL and play a direct role in the month-end close and financial reporting process . This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of assigned accounts, work closely with a collaborative accounting team, and contribute to a consistent, well-run close process. If you enjoy working through reconciliations, understanding how financials tie together, and ensuring accuracy, this is a strong opportunity. What You'll Do Own assigned general ledger accounts , including all related journal entries and reconciliations Take responsibility for designated areas of the month-end, quarterly, and year-end close , ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and post journal entries within the general ledger Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies independently Ensure assigned accounts are accurate, complete, and fully reconciled each period Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports Support cash management activities, including banking transactions and reconciliations Apply GAAP across accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and lease-related areas Support internal and external audit processes Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–7+ years of progressive accounting experience Hands-on experience owning general ledger accounts and supporting month-end close Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of GAAP Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Experience working within ERP or accounting systems CPA (or pursuing certification) is a plus Why This Role Stands Out Stable, established organization with strong employee tenure Clear ownership within the accounting and close process Collaborative team environment Hybrid flexibility after onboarding Opportunity for continued growth within accounting Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $85,000–$98,000 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays HSA/FSA options Disability coverage and employee assistance programs Education and professional development support #MinnesotaJobs #AccountingJobs #SeniorAccountant #GeneralLedger #TwinCities #OpportunityForGrowth #LI-Hybrid #LI-PS1 #
