Job Description
One of our clients is a Fortune 100 "Fastest Growing" international manufacturer with HQ in downtown Chicago is looking to hire a Senior Accountant! Responsibilities:
Support month, quarter, and year end reporting activities for timely and accurate reporting Prepare & review journal entries and account reconciliations Actively participate in monthly balance sheet reviews working with the business and SSC Investigate and resolve accounting issues Support OneStream reporting to ensure it is performed timely and accurately Ensure integrity and reliability of all financial transactions and that they are in accordance with US GAAP. Support internal and external audit requests, and participate in efforts to remediate audit and control findings. Document standard operating procedures and instructions surrounding accounting procedures. Share best practices in accounting practices with others in the Accounting CoE and support the Accounting Manager to implement them within the team. Process Improvement & Special Projects Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the team in implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness across the close and reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting operations. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Manager.Qualifications:
3+ years of experience Public Accounting Experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SL9). Strong experience ensuring SOX compliance required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Things to get excited about:
